Vacancy: Graduate Electrical Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dublin

Salary: Negotiable

 

3D Personnel’s client is a market leading international Construction & Engineering company with a significant annual turnover.

Opportunity has arisen for a career driven and ambitious candidate to undertake training to become an Electrical Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with or prepare monthly applications
  • Working closely with Finance & Commercial in maximising profit on the contracts
  • Reviewing weekly productivity of teams.
  • Undertaking interim and final valuations for works complete
  • To manage work in progress and ensuring debtors are kept to a minimum
  • Ensuring all subcontractors are contractually tied in e.g. insurance details, retention, etc.
  • Preparation of all subcontracts.
  • Monitoring / scrutinising of weekly costs and productivities, and reporting on same
  • Highlighting areas of concern/loss on any part of the contract
  • Oversee all contractual issues


To be considered for Graduate Electrical Quantity Surveyor you will have:

  • Ideally the 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Junior Electrical Engineer background
  • You will ideally possess 1+ years’ relevant experience working with a recognised contractor
  • Overall understanding of the business, client and Sub Contractor relations, and  installations
  • Proficient in the use of PC Software packages such as Excel, MS Office, AutoCAD
  • An effective listener: good at listening to requirements or problems without bias
  • Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Record Keeping and Administration Skills
  • Process driven and focused on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes
