Firestopper

3D Personnel are currently looking for a firestopper for a construction project in Southampton.

The day-to-day duties will consist of:

• Installing firestopping systems to walls, floors, ceilings and service penetrations
• Applying fire-rated sealants, mastics, collars, wraps and other fire protection products
• Installing fire barriers and fire-rated protection around pipes, cables and ductwork
• Sealing gaps and penetrations to maintain the required fire compartmentation
• Reading and working from drawings, specifications and manufacturers' instructions
• Ensuring all firestopping works are completed to the required standards
• Inspecting completed work and rectifying any defects where necessary
• Working alongside other trades to ensure firestopping requirements are completed efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Completing all required duties as instructed by the site management team
• Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards and project specifications

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid CSCS Card or relevant site qualification
• Previous experience working as a Firestopper / Firestopping Operative on construction sites
• Experience with fire-rated sealants, fire collars, fire barriers and penetration sealing
• Good understanding of fire compartmentation and firestopping systems
• Must be hardworking, reliable and driven
• Must have valid ID/Passport
• Must have full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis and safety boots)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow site instructions
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
