Permanent/Contract (Remote/Hybrid Working to Be Discussed)

They supply both local and international markets successfully by offering a flexible, reactive and bespoke service to cater for each and every customer’s specific needs.

They now wish to add a suitably experienced and talented Financial Accountant to their dynamic Finance Team.

Purpose of the Position

  • Become a key member of the finance team
  • Key liaison between the finance team and operations across a range of value creating activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end accounts close and management accounts preparation including all balance sheet reconciliations and profit/loss analysis. Follow up and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Variance Analysis - monthly management accounts must be reviewed for accuracy and reasonableness to identify any deviations from forecast.
  • Prepare and circulate weekly finished goods reconciliations for retail products, suggest process improvements and work with area managers to reduce variances
  • Reconcile finished goods stock to third party warehouses and other finished goods locations weekly/monthly as required
  • Lead internal controls function, ensure compliance across the site, recommend control improvements and ensure adequate reporting
  • Yield reporting across manufacturing activities
  • Annual financial statements preparation and key auditor liaison
  • Provide support on enhancing finance processes and procedure
  • Collaborate and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross-functional departments - Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial etc.
