Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Window Fitting Company)
Based in Donegal - Must be able to travel
Salary Neg. DOE
Fulltime Permanent role
Our Donegal based client has undergone steady growth in recent years given that they provide to an impressive customer base across Donegal, Ulster, Ireland and into the UK.
From their premises in North Donegal, they provide commercial and residential window and door solutions to clients far and wide.
Having doubled their workforce in the last few years, they continue to grow and as a result of that growth we have been tasked with assisting them recruit more team members.

Core Duties:
You will be evaluating tender specifications and drawings;
Reporting to senior management on progression of projects;
Involvement in cost plans, tracking labour costs and efficiency throughout projects;
Dealing with clients, contractors Etc. in a professional manner;
Prepare all tender documentation;
Review and evaluate cost estimates;
Communicate with team members regarding new and current projects;
Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products;
Ensure timely completion of estimates;
Manage bid pricing;
Prepare cost analysis;
Create and submit estimate reports to appropriate persons (Project Managers, Clients, Bidding competitions, etc.);
Be fully compliant with Company Health & Safety: policies, procedures, systems and rules, report all hazards and incidents and ensure that you work safely at all times;
Follow up with main contractors on bids and budgets.

Requirements:
You will have a third level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Accounting or related field and ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Coupled with above you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
You will be able to multi-task and work under pressure.
You will be able to show familiarity with financial and project management principles and have exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues both written and oral.
You will be solution orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft excel and other Microsoft office packages. Experience in using the Logikal system is an advantage as is commercial glazing experiences, especially with curtain walling systems. Although full training will be provided.
