About the Opportunity

Our client, a market-leading data centre delivery specialist operating across Europe, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their project team in Dublin. This is an opportunity to work with Europe's leading turnkey data centre partner, supporting design coordination and delivery across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines on large-scale, mission-critical projects.

The Role

You'll support the development, coordination, and delivery of design solutions across all project disciplines, ensuring designs are compliant, well-coordinated, and aligned with project requirements from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines

* Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

* Assist in ensuring design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

* Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activities

* Participate in Design Meetings, Coordination Meetings, and Project Reviews

* Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site

* Assist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries

* Support the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentation

* Ensure effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elements

* Identify and assist in resolving design, technical, and coordination issues

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle

* Support commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar discipline

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services

* Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects

* Good understanding of design principles, standards, and regulatory requirements

* Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

* Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
