Our client based in the Derry area are in a period of significant growth and due to their busy work load they have a vacancy for a Corporate Governance Officer to join their team.
As an integral member of the Finance & Corporate Services team, the post holder will provide a professional and confidential service to the Executive Team and Board.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
Assist the Finance and Corporate Services Director in the oversight of the Company Secretarial function ensuring the smooth running of the Board and its’ Committees;
Build and maintain relationships with the Board, acting as the primary Board interface for the arrangement of all meetings and events and the handling of all Board Member queries;
Provide a comprehensive Board Secretariat function including the preparation, editing, organisation and upload of Board and Committee Papers for all meetings and the taking and circulating of professional minutes of all meetings;
Act as Administrator in the Board Management Software “Decision Time” responsible for the set up of meetings, access levels and ensuring all Board documentation is uploaded to the platform accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide support with catering, travelling, meeting set up and diary arrangements.
Front of house duties and general office/administrative support.
Performing other duties and functions as assigned.
Educated to degree level standard or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Business or Law)
At least three years’ corporate governance experience in a similar organisation with expertise in minute taking.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email/calendar)
Strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
