CONTRACTS MANAGER – COVENTRY
3D Personnel are recruiting for a multi discipline Engineering & Construction company, with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. With a number of different divisions, including; Energy, Oil & Gas, Water & Process, International and Control & Automation.
They are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to join their team near Coventry Airport. Recently winning £43m of work over 19 sites with National Grid, the majority of which are in The Midlands and North West of England. Work is delivering the infrastructure for the security upgrades on National Grid Gas & Electric substations and we are working in a JV with Optilan. Our client are delivering the Civil Engineering works and Optilan is delivering the electrical works.
You will be based out of the Coventry office but will work on various sites throughout the UK (the majority of which are in the Midlands and North West). The role involves reporting into the Framework Manager and duties include but are not limited to;
- Managing a team of Site Agents
- Ensuring Health & Safety policies are adhered to at all times
- Working closely with the client
- Working closely with the Commercial Team to ensure the project is managed to both program and budget
Due to the complexity of projects that we work on, it is essential that applicants have a background in managing the successful delivery of civil engineering projects; having some knowledge of M&E would also be beneficial. A background of working on National Grid projects would be a strong advantage and is preferred. It may be that you are currently working as a Contracts Manager or perhaps you are a Project Manager who is seeking to take the next step in your career. Either way, you will have an excellent technical ability in civil engineering and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team
Desired Skills / Background
- HNC/HND/BSc in an engineering discipline or equivalent by experience
