We are now recruiting for/on behalf of a leading property development firm who has grown over the years to become one of the leaders in their sector.
They are now offering an experienced Clerk of Works the opportunity to join an expanding construction and development team.
The core purpose of this role is to oversee the quality and safety of work on construction sites, ensuring that building plans and specifications are being followed correctly.

The Clerk of Works will be responsible for:
Liaising with other construction staff, contractors, engineers and surveyors
Performing regular inspections of work on site, ensuring that plans are followed and comparing completed work with drawings and specifications
Perform inspections of workmanship, quality and safety of work on site
Checks to ensure work is conducted in line with legal, safety and environmental standards
Identifying potential issues or defects, making suggestions to resolve
Monitoring workforce attendance if required
Reporting any unresolved concerns
Keeping accurate and detailed records, including a site diary, photographic evidence, and site meeting information
Using information for reporting progress to key stakeholders

Essential Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience of construction site inspection
Demonstrable working knowledge of the construction industry covering materials, trades, building methods and legal requirements
Demonstrable ability to read, review and understand drawings
Qualifications in a relevant discipline will be advantageous
