What You’ll Do

Responsible to the Executive Head Chef/Sous Chef, as a Chef de Partie, you will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes in line with the hotel's standards. You will mentor junior kitchen staff, maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards, and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Manage a designated kitchen section, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and portion control in all dishes.

·        Prepare and cook ingredients to the highest standard, following established recipes and guidelines.

·        Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices, fostering their professional development.

·        Ensure the section maintains strict compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, and health and safety standards.

·        Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients.

·        Maintain kitchen equipment in good working order, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly.

·        Participate actively in cleaning duties, deep-cleaning schedules, and general kitchen organisation.

·        Collaborate with other sections and departments to ensure smooth service delivery and coordination.

·        Contribute to menu planning, new dish development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·        Take responsibility for the overall efficiency, productivity, and discipline of your section.

 

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1-2 years+ experience in a busy hotel kitchen.

The ideal candidate must be available to work a mixture of shifts.
