Headline of the Assistant Site Manager role
With a strong land bank and a tradition of building a quality product, we are working on a retained basis with a longstanding developer whose projects spread throughout the Surrey Hills. The project still has 18 months left on the build programme and to help deliver this our client is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of 130 traditional build units. The site comprises of a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties and currently has units in all stages of the build process.
You'll be working with a great team on site who have been employed with our client for many years, so the ideal candidate will be happy fitting into an existing but friendly team. In terms of experience the ideal candidate will have good residential experience and longevity in previous roles to be considered for this permanent position. With great career support and clearly set out career progression this is role will suit someone who is hungry, driven and keen to progress.
Overview of the Assistant Site Manager role
With the site already live the ideal assistant manager will already be in a role elsewhere but keen to move to gain the progression and experience they are not currently getting.
✔ To fit smoothly into this role you should have experience of working on projects that have started from the ground up, with further input and involvement through 1st fix, 2nd fix and onto handover of residential builds.
Your key duties as Assistant Site Manager
✔ Use your experience of supporting traditional build construction programmes
✔ Ensuring quality at every stage
✔ Monitor and control on material levels
✔ Co-ordinate labour and trades
✔ Benefit from a proactive site team who will actively support your career advancement
✔ Work closely with the sales team to deliver excellent customer relations
Key experiences you should have as Assistant Site Manager
✔ Solid work history of delivering the construction homes for ideally previous developers
✔ Be a great communicator with the ability to support your site team
✔ Developing knowledge of the housebuilding construction process
✔ Be from a trade background or have developed skills from activity being on live projects
✔ Great customer service skills and the ability to deliver on new homeowners’ expectations
