Accounts Assistant
Tyrone| Part Time (25 hrs PW) | Construction Industry | Finance Dept.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support this firms accounting department with administrative tasks and daily accounting activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of purchase ledger records, including processing invoices, matching PO’s, coding and problem solving
• Bank postings on accounts software
• Supplier aging maintenance and statement reconciliation
• Government statistical reporting including Intrastat arrivals and dispatches, EC sales and other ad hoc statistical returns
• Support the management accountant with month end reporting requirements
• Management of petty cash
• Maintain accurate accounting records, including preparation and posting of journals to General Ledger Provide accounting support to Credit Control/Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable departments.
• Ensure that internal procedures and controls are consistently applied.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Any other duties and tasks commensurate with the role and/or as required by the Manager within your capabilities.
What you’ll bring:
At least 2 years’ experience within a commercial accounts environment;
A high degree of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel);
Flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
Preference will be given to those who are Knowledgeable with Financial Accounting principles and have experience of MS Dynamics AX, Power BI.
