Quintain Developments Ireland Ltd has received planning permission for 136 new homes in Cherrywood, Dublin 18.  The latest stage is part of another project which will include 1,300 homes, two public parks, primary and secondary schools, retail outlets and civic amenities such as cycle and walking tracks.  Of the 136 homes, there will be 56 duplexes with the rest being made up of two, three and four bedroom houses.

Cherrywood Village comprises approx. 60 acres of a 118 acre land holding which Quintain bought in 2020.  The plans are to build over 3,000 new homes on the entire site.

The development is well serviced by public transport, such as the LUAS, and is within easy access of other existing infrastructure and attractions in the South Dublin area, including the Irish Sea and Dublin Mountains, which can be seen from the new homes.

Construction is due to begin as soon as the coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
