Work begins on Limerick’s €200m Opera Site Project

Last Monday work began on Limerick's biggest ever commercial property investment at the Opera Site.  The 1.62 hectare investment will take six years to finish and will employ up to 500 people during the construction phase.  The initial stage is a 12 month demolition of all 20^th century buildings, while the Protected Structures and other structures of heritage value will be preserved.  The project will see the construction of a 14-storey office building; a five-storey aparthotel with retail units on ground and basement levels; an over-basement office building with retail units and a restaurant/café.
