€2.5m grant for the construction industry

The Irish Government’s Department of Public Expenditure and Reform has announced a €2.5m grant for the construction industry.  The grant, which will comprise of €500,000 for five years, will be awarded to projects that will increase innovation, productivity, digitisation and sustainability across the sector as set out in the Government’s Project Ireland 2040 investment strategy.  The project will lead the development of training, approaches, standards and digital tools in the industry, providing a guiding light, especially for SMEs.  Expressions of interest can be summitted to the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform before the 15th of January 2021, while full applications must be lodged by the 15th of February 2021.
