A tender process has begun for the revamp of Cork Airport’s runway 16/24, the country’s second busiest, by passenger number, after Dublin. Work is expected to begin by mid-2021 and will be completed by early 2022. The upgrade of the 2km runway will coincide with new electrical works and the construction of a power substation.
