A new 171 bedroom hotel on MacCurtain St and Brian Boru St in Cork City.

3 D Specialists Strip Out And Builders Works

Planning permission for a new 171 bedroom hotel on MacCurtain St and Brian Boru St in Cork City was granted by Cork City Council.  The site, which was once the Coliseum cinema and is actually used as a bowling alley and arcade, will be replaced by a five to seven story hotel.  The builders, International Investment ICAV, will have to ensure that an appeal is not lodged to An Bord Pleanála before commencing the project which will add further impetus to the tourism industry in Cork City.  There are some worries about the immediate impacts of the Coronavirus, however, the hopes are, that once things get back to normal, the tourism industry will begin to grow again, as it did in the run up to 2020.
