The Liebherr 11200-9.1 is the world’s tallest and strongest telescopic boom crane.
When it is Fully assembled and extended this impressive piece of equipment can lift up to 1,179 tons, and reach a height of 550 feet with. The Crane is seen as incredibly mobile for its size. It Can be easily transported on road or other terrain
The crane is powered by a separate 6-cylinder 240kW engine (in addition to the 500kW engine that runs the 65-foot, 9-axle carrier). The 9-axle chassis includes active, speed-dependent rear-axle steering developed by Liebherr.
Its 100 ton boom is as long as the truck that carries the crane and actually has to be shipped separately when moving job sites. Luckily, the carrier isn't much wider than a normal big rig, which means that it can travel where other large cranes can't—like into fields, where the wind turbines live.
