Plans to build a major new housing development in Enniskillen have been welcomed as a boost to the county town.
A planning permission application has been submitted to build a residential development of 115 houses with detached domestic garages on a site close to the MOT Centre in Enniskillen.
The application details that the development would consists of 30 detached houses, 85 semi detached houses, landscaping, open space and an equipped chidren's play area.
Sara Boyd, of Turning Point Property Sales has welcomed the plans for the new development saying, 'This proposed new development is excellent news for the housing market in Enniskillen and County Fermanagh as a whole. While there are currently a number of new developments underway in Enniskillen there is still an underlying shortage of turn-key homes within the area. This development would be extremely beneficial for the local economy, primarily creating a number of properties available for purchase within the local market.'
The application is currently under consideration by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and a decision will be made in the coming months. Local Cllr Paul Blake believes this development is a great opportunity for he town, and anyone hoping to purchase a new home in the future.
